Sapperton residents attending a meeting Wednesday evening rejected all four of the proposed options for the United Boulevard Extension project.

Instead, the group of about 85 residents attending the meeting at the Sapperton Pensioners' Hall created their own option.

They want TransLink to delay the project until the transportation authority considers other designs that would have less impact on the Sapperton neighbourhood.

Residents also said any connection between Coquitlam and New Westminster using United Boulevard should not be built until planning for the rest of the North Fraser Perimeter Road running through the city is complete.
