6. Information

The Director of Community Services reported that the report on the parks bylaw amendments and the report on the Sports Achievement Award have both received
Council endorsement. The bylaw amendments will be undertaken by Legislative Services. The Sports Achievement Award nomination forms will be printed up and advertised in the next few days. The nomination deadline is the end of September, which will allow the commission to review the nominations at the October meeting.

The Director of Community Services clarified the information in the Glenayre Community Centre Recreation Program and Operations Review from the previous meeting: the centre operated for all 52 weeks, of which 6 weeks was taken up by a summer camp, which was captured differently in the report and not reflected in total weeks of operation.
