2.1 Request for Comment on City of Coquitlam Regional Context Statement

Moved, seconded and CARRIED
THAT the following comment on the Coquitlam Regional Context Statement be provided to the City of Coquitlam:

THAT as Port Moody is at maximum traffic capacity now, and Port Moody is concerned that Coquitlam anticipates considerable population growth which will impact the North East Sector transportation network and Strategy 5.2.3 b of Coquitlam’s Regional Context Statement refers to support for efficient movement of goods, services and passengers, the Regional Context Statement include the development of a sub-regional traffic and transportation plan to be developed in conjunction with North-East Sector municipalities.

THAT the following comment on the Coquitlam Regional Context Statement be provided to the City of Coquitlam:

THAT Port Moody is opposed to any expansion of the Urban Containment Boundary to allow further development due to impacts on traffic, transportation and the environment.
