The General Manager of Development Services made a brief presentation to assist Council in their deliberations on the draft Official Community Plan.

THAT the first paragraph in Section 15.5.5 Oceanfront District be removed from the draft Official Community Plan.

THAT, in section 15.5.7, the sentence "A Neighbourhood Plan will be developed to determine appropriate density and building forms prior to redevelopment within the area known as Coronation Park" be reinstated in the Draft OCP.

That staff incorporate base density maps into the Official Community Plan;
AND THAT the population growth estimate be lowered to 50,000 from 59,000.

THAT policy #32 in section 7.14 be amended to list Dallas/Slaughterhouse Creek ahead of Kyle Creek and Schoolhouse Creek, and indicate the daylighting of these creeks as a priority for the City.

THAT the comments from the Burke Mountain Naturalists noted on page 361 to page 363 in the January 7, 2014 Committee of the Whole meeting agenda be brought back to Council for further discussion.

AND that section 15.5.6 include language to indicate that the City would consider additional density and height allowances in exchange for community open space designations.

THAT the following three bullets be removed from section 15.5.2 Spring Street Promenade:
 
From Section 2.- Commercial Mixed Use Area between Queens and Moody Street:
• this portion of String Street is restricted to local vehicle traffic only;
• within this portion of Spring Street, new parkade access is discouraged; and
From Section 3. - Moody Centre Station between Moody Street and Electronic Avenue:
• this portion of Spring Street is designated for pedestrian and/or bicycle use.

THAT the introductory paragraph of section 15.4.1 Cultural Plaza be amended by removing the words "consisting of residential up to 6 storeys with retail below."
