1.1 Zoning Bylaw Text Amendment - Expanding Potential Days of Operation for Temporary Shelter

City of Port Moody Zoning Bylaw 1988, No. 1890, Amendment Bylaw No. 220, 2013, No. 2972 being a bylaw to amend the definition of Temporary Shelter to extend the maximum period of operation in any one winter season.

Mr. Tim Savoie, General Manager of Development Services provided Council with a brief description of the zoning bylaw amendment which proposes to amend the definition of "temporary shelter" to allow for a temporary overnight shelter to operate for up to 62 days, between the months of October and March at the St. Andrews United Church located at 2318 St. Johns Street.

PUBLIC REPRESENTATIONS:

One submission was received from the public which was placed on table for Council's information.

Pat McGrath, Port Moody thanked the City for taking the initiative

Rob Thiessen, Fort Langley, thanked Council for taking this initiative and is supportive of the amendment.

1.2 Clarification to Zoning Bylaw - Lot width and depth definitions

City of Port Moody Zoning Bylaw 1988, No. 1890, Amendment Bylaw No. 219, 2013, No. 2970, being a bylaw to clarify Lot Width calculation and to remove the definition of Lot Depth.

Mr. Tim Savoie, General Manager of Development Services provided Council with a brief description of the zoning bylaw amendment which proposes to revise the definition of Lot Width and to remove reference to Lot Depth in the Zoning Bylaw. He noted that the technical subdivision of lots in Port Moody is determined by meeting a minimum Lot Width and Lot Area for each zoning category. The proposed changes are intended to provide clarity.

There were no written or verbal comments on Bylaw 2970 received from the public.
