City of Port Moody Water Shortage Response Plan Bylaw, 2005, Application No. 2657, Amendment Bylaw No. 2, 2015, No. 3015, being a Bylaw to Amend City of Port Moody Water Shortage Response Plan Bylaw, 2005, No. 2657 to allow for the issuance of water restriction exemption permits for nematode applications.
Staff provided an overview of proposed amendments to the Water Shortage Response Bylaw regarding nematode application, noting that watering requirements for nematode application exceed that which is permitted under stage two watering restrictions. Staff noted that Metro Vancouver is supportive of the City issuing twoweek exemption permits free of charge for residents applying nematodes to their lawn to combat the European Chafer Beetle, and that refunds will be issued to residents that have already paid for watering permits.

THAT City of Port Moody Water Shortage Response Plan Bylaw, 2005, No. 2657, Amendment Bylaw No. 2, 2015, No. 3015 be read a first, second, and third time as recommended in the report dated July 7, 2015 from Engineering and Parks Services regarding Amendments to Water Shortage Response Bylaw -Nematode Application;
AND THAT the estimated $8,290 cost for the 14-day Watering Exemption Permits be forwarded to the Finance Committee to determine a suitable funding source;
AND THAT the residents who have already purchased Watering Exemption Permits for Nematode Application be refunded the cost of the permit.

THAT the foregoing motion be amended by adding the following clause:
AND THAT Art Knapp be contacted to inquire about the possibility of issuing watering exemption permits on site, unless an administrative charge would apply.
