THAT, pursuant to section 90 of the Community Charter, this portion of the Regular Meeting of the Finance Committee be closed to the public as the subject matters being considered relate to the following:
90(1)(e) – the acquisition, disposition, or expropriation of land or improvements, if the council considers that disclosure could reasonably be expected to harm the interests of the municipality;
and
90(1)(k) – negotiations and related discussions respecting the proposed provision of a municipal service that are at their preliminary stages and that, in the view of the council, could reasonably be expected to harm the interests of the municipality if they were held in public.

2.2 Appointment of Municipal Bidder

Closed to the public pursuant to section 90(1)(e) of the Community Charter.

2.3 Proposed Provision of a Service

6.1 Shoreline Trail – Pedestrian Bridge Repairs

Staff responded to questions from the Committee regarding Department of Fisheries and Oceans requirements and incorporation of public art pieces in the bridge.

THAT $75,000 be allocated from the Asset Reserve (Parks) for completion of emergency repairs as recommended in the report dated June 30, 2017 from Engineering and Operations Department – Engineering Division regarding Shoreline Trail – Pedestrian Bridge Repairs.

THAT the foregoing motion be amended by inserting “up to” between “THAT” and “$75,000”.

The question on the main motion (FC17/067) as amended (by FC17/068) was put to a vote; the following motion was CARRIED:

6.2 Planning and Engineering Development Services Process Review

THAT staff be authorized to undertake a review of the Development Services procedures as recommended in the report dated July 7, 2017 from Engineering and Operations Department – Engineering Division regarding Planning and Engineering Development Services Process Review;
AND THAT a budget of $30,000 be established from the Development Processing Reserve for the review of the Development Services procedures.

6.3 Funding for Consultation Plan for RS1 Zoning Changes in Glenayre
