Staff provided an overview of the Amendment Bylaw.

The Mayor called for public input.

Mark Jauck, Port Moody, expressed support for narrow lot subdivision, noting that the change would help provide more affordable housing. Mr. Jauck expressed concerns about the height limits.
Melissa Chaun, Port Moody, expressed support for narrow lot subdivision, noting that it would encourage environmental sustainability and social cohesion, and allow for more affordable housing. Ms. Chaun expressed concerns about the height limits affecting the appearance and livability of heritage homes.
Ilse Leis, Port Moody, expressed concerns that consideration of narrow lot subdivision has been rushed and noted that the issue should be reviewed more thoroughly.
David Ritcey, Port Moody, expressed concerns about the Floor Area Ratio (FAR) being too high in the Moody Centre Heritage Area, the height limit being too low, and the change potentially discouraging heritage homes.
Bill Brar, Port Moody, expressed support for narrow lot subdivision, but requested that Council change the height limit back to that which was proposed in the staff report considered on January 10, 2017 to help maintain the character of the neighbourhood and improve livability.
Alex Augustyniak, Port Moody, expressed support for narrow lot subdivision with the height limit as presented by staff, noting that it would improve livability.
Peter Dasnieres, Port Moody, asked whether east-west subdivision would be possible and whether two houses can be put on the same lot without a subdivision of the lot.
Chris Rowe, Port Moody, expressed support for narrow lot subdivision, but expressed concerns about the proposed height limit negatively impacting livability and heritage homes.
John Clarke, Port Moody, expressed concerns about the reduced height limit conflicting with the character of the neighbourhood.
Dan Eaton, Port Moody, expressed support for narrow lot subdivision, but expressed opposition to the proposed 7.5-metre height limit proposed at the previous Council meeting.
Garth Charney, Port Moody, expressed support for narrow lot subdivision, noting that the proposed change aligns with the Official Community Plan and would be appropriate for the neighbourhood.
Michael Van Hemmen, Port Moody, expressed support for narrow lot subdivision and noted that the height limit should be returned to the height staff originally proposed.
Ray Gaucher, Port Moody, expressed support for narrow lot subdivision, noting that the height limit should be increased.
Mr. Gaucher noted that north-south subdivision would be inconsistent with the character of the neighbourhood.
Les Marshall, Port Moody, expressed concerns about the proposed amendment, noting that consideration should be given to both north-south and east-west subdivisions.
Isabelle Zubek, Port Moody, expressed support for east-west subdivision, noting that it would be better for heritage houses.
Susan Rowe, Port Moody, expressed concern about the height limit, noting that an increased height limit would better suit the heritage character of the area.
Peter Parnell, Port Moody, expressed support for narrow lot subdivision with the height limit as originally proposed by staff.
Peter Joyce, Port Moody, expressed support for lengthwise narrow lot subdivision.
Kevin Adair-Austin, Port Moody, expressed support for lengthwise narrow lot subdivision.
Matthew Jauck, Port Moody, expressed support for narrow lot subdivision, noting that the staff-proposed height limit should be supported.
Matt Bates, Port Moody, expressed support for horizontal rather than vertical subdivision of lots.

The Mayor called three times for further public input.
There were no more comments from the public.
