2. Public Input

Gail Carter / Darlen Goutier - re Fires and Parties in Bert Flinn Park

3.1 Translink - Sheri Plewes VP Translink was to respond to councils request for information on how LRT line will be accomodated on St John and whether it would be feasible to locate a station in Glenayre.

Translinks team attended an in camera session with Council earlier in the evening to talk about property acquisition requirements for LRT, and addressed these two topics at that time.

The depth of the tunnel under Glenayre is shown to be about 19 stories underground and precludes any chance for a station here. The 'fit' on St Johns remains very much a question with some Tranlink measurements showing 15.6 metres of right of way requirements. A standard traffic lane is 3.5 metres, so this would be the equivalent of over 4 normal lanes of traffic ! This will NOT fit in many places on St John.
