Current Project Status (August 2010):

Oh Look, status July 2011 - essentially unchanged ! Construction WILL NOT start spring 2011 !

 

Project continues to lack funding from Translink but Provincial Gov't exists is moving ahead.

Recent vote of Translink Mayors council that they do not support property tax to fund transit projects.

(word of agreement between mayors council and prov govt to fund via gas tax, not confirmed)

Currently in Station Area Design Public Consultation process

Construction due to start Spring 2011, opening 2014

 

Federal and Provincial Government funding is secured for 1/3 each, Translink, previously commmitted to funding 1/3 (400 million) is currently NOT including this funding in their 10 year plan.
