Timeline
There seems to be alot of confusion, and mis-information, around the history of the restaurant development and the boat launch modifications. The following list is an 'evolutionary timeline', including links to the official documents to confirm them.
- recommended greening of 50% of boatlaunch with the city to provide parking adjacent, with phasing out of boatlaunch parking as alternate areas are secured.
- recommend a medium restaurant, of marine or heritage theme, on south/western area of boatlaunch parking.
- reference section 4.2 and 4.3
- no mention of restaurant, boat launch parking shown in picutre (page 12) as is.
- the master plan refers to the task force (above) as a task force to advise on a small boat centre (Old Mill Boathouse), and implies that this task force did not have consideration of a restaurant in its scope.
- Section 12, Page 6: The existing parking area at the boat launch will remain unchanged, until suitable off-site parking or other arrangements can be made to expand the green space of the park.
