2. Public Input David Spence, Port Moody, spoke to the Love Locks agenda item, to affirm that the notion of Love Locks is very appealing and attractive, however, expressed the view that to put Love Locks at the end of Rocky Point Pier is not as appropriate as perhaps another location within the city as there are other memorial/commemorative opportunities in the Park. He expressed the view that the Love Locks could lead to a sense of clutter at the end of the pier which is incongruent with the green nature of the Park. He also spoke to the proclamation request to name the 29th of May as the day of the Honey Bee and recommended Council proclaim this date and support the Honey Bee with the planting of appropriate plants. 4.2 Parks and Community Facilities Bylaw 2721 Moved, seconded and CARRIED
THAT the proposed amendments to Bylaw 2721 as attached to the May 17, 2011 Community Services report be processed for Council to amend the Bylaw.
