4.2 Pressure Zone Modifications and Watermain Renewals – Funding Request Report: Engineering and Operations Department – Engineering Division, dated January 9, 2017 File: 01-0360-20-05
FC17/004 Moved, seconded, and CARRIED THAT $235,000 be allocated from the Water Utility Reserve towards completion of pressure zone and watermain improvements on Mount Royal Drive as recommended in the report dated January 9, 2017 from Engineering and Operations Department regarding Pressure Zone Modifications and Watermain Renewals – Funding Request; AND THAT staff continue with the completion of this work as part of the 2016 Capital Program.
4.3 Funding Source for Climate Change Showdown Workshop Memo: Financial Services Department, dated January 11, 2017 File: 01-0360-20-04
FC17/005 Moved, seconded, and CARRIED THAT up to $2,500 for the BC Sustainable Energy Association’s Cool It! Climate Leadership Training for 2017 be funded from Council Contingency.
4.4 Funding Source for Fingerling Festival Delegation Request Memo: Financial Services Department, dated January 11, 2017 File: 15-7715-03-005
FC17/006 Moved, seconded, and CARRIED THAT the $10,000 granted to the Port Moody Ecological Society for the 25th Annual Fingerling Festival be funded from Council Contingency.
Staff gave a presentation on the 2017-2021 Capital Financial Plan draft, including an overview of the budget process and budget principles, the capital budget, reserves, capital budget projects and funding, and next steps in the budget deliberation process. Staff responded to questions from the Committee regarding Asset Reserve funding, Council Strategic Priorities Reserve funding, and Equipment Replacement Reserve funding. Discussion of this item will continue at the next Finance Committee meeting to be held on February 7, 2017.
