4.1 Festival and Event Funding

THAT Festival and Event Funding be approved as recommended in the report dated January 26, 2017 from Community Services Department regarding Festival and Event funding; AND THAT staff establish a Festivals and Events cost centre to track expenses for approved events. FC17/014
Moved, seconded, and CARRIED THAT $65,630 be transferred from Accumulated Surplus to the Festivals and Events cost centre for festivals and events in 2017. 4.2 Funding Source for Port Moody Art Association Delegation Request

4.7 Funding Source for Photovoltaic Solar Panels

Moved, seconded, and CARRIED THAT the $28,000 for engineering studies related to the installation of photovoltaic solar panels be funded from the Carbon Offset Community Reserve. 4.8 Public Consultation Results for the 2017 Financial Plan
Report: Financial Services Department, dated February 10, 2017 File: 05-1700-03--08/2017 Staff provided an overview of the public consultation results and responded to questions from the Committee regarding the cost of the public consultation event and ways to engage more residents in the budgeting process.

4.10 Funding Source for Rotary Club of Port Moody’s RibFest

4.11 Funding Source for Vimy Centennial

Moved and seconded THAT the $5,400 granted to the Port Moody Heritage Society for the Vimy Centennial event be funded from Council Contingency. FC17/022
Moved, seconded, and CARRIED THAT the foregoing motion be amended by replacing “Council Contingency” with “the Festivals and Events cost centre”. The question on the main motion (FC17/021) as amended (by FC17/022) was put to a vote;
the following motion was CARRIED: THAT the $5,400 granted to the Port Moody Heritage Society for the Vimy Centennial event be funded from the Festivals and Events cost centre.
The Deputy Fire Chief left the meeting at this point and did not return.

3.1 2017 Financial Plan Draft Capital Budget
Report: Financial Services Department, dated December 23, 2016 File: 05-1700-03-2017-08 Staff continued the presentation of the 2017-2021 Financial Plan Draft and responded to questions from the Committee regarding details of specific projects listed in the 2017-2021 Project Summaries spreadsheet.
