5.1 Fees Bylaw Amendment - mortgage administration fees
 
Moved, seconded and CARRIED
THAT Finance Committee recommends to Council that Fees Bylaw No. 2696 receive three readings and be considered for approval at a subsequent Council meeting.
5.2 Pre Budget Approval - Rec Facility upgrade and equipment replacement
 
Moved, seconded and CARRIED
THAT the Finance Committee recommends to Council that $30,000 and $35,000 for Equipment Replacement and for Facility Upgrades respectively be approved.
 
5.3 Grants to Organizations
 
Moved, seconded and DEFEATED
THAT the Finance Committee recommends to Council that the ArtsConnect receive an additional $1,463 to bring their total grant to $3,000.

THAT the Finance Committee recommends to Council that $4,000 be allocated to the loco Church for roof repairs.
Voting Against: Councillors Clay, Elliott, Rockwell and Watkins

THAT the Finance Committee recommends to Council that $2,000 be allocated to the loco Church for roof repairs.

THAT the Finance Committee recommends to Council that $1,213 be allocated to the ArtsConnect to bring their total grant up to $2,750.

Voting Against: Councillors Dilworth and Lahti

I was voting against these as I believed that we should be seeking an alternate funding source for the IOCO church grant, through heritage or some other source, and that the IOCO grant was also affecting all of the other grant applicants, particularly ArtsConnect.  The final amount for Arts Connect was the balance of the money available.
