Re: "Rocky Point Park restaurant development could affect boaters in neighbouring Burnaby," Wednesday, May 16.

What generates more monies, a boat launch or dividends from the latest creation of the soon-to-be-opened Boathouse Restaurant at beautiful Rocky Point? The restaurant will, of course. As a non-boater, I was absolutely shocked to see the final paved configuration at the point.

The boater parking has been dramatically reduced; handicapped parking is nowhere to be seen.

Our seniors of this community, who have little walking power, have been car jacked out of the point as well.

I'm not even sure where patrons of the restaurant are going to park. I don't think the restaurant is a drive-through, is it?

Boaters who have supported the City of Port Moody for years should rally together in protest of the final look. Too late to cry over spilt milk.

The point is going to become a congested rush-hour nightmare for patrons of the restaurant and for those looking for a day on the water.

I failed to mention the local sightseer who can no longer enjoy the drive up to the one-time inspirational point.

The RCMP crime stats will now rise as boater vs. restaurant patron rage will rise in the battle of parking.
