In 2005 the city received grant approval from the Federal/Provincial infrastructure grant program in the amount of $ 2 million for the improvements for Rocky Point Park.

 

The improvements include:

 - new parking lot

 - new park services building

 - removal of old park buildings

 - undergrounding of power and utility lines

 - drainage improvements to field area

 - wading pool

 - splash/water park

 - new playground equipment
