The mayors are meeting today with provincial government representatives and are expected to announce a formula for contributing the region's share of $400 million towards the $1.4 billion Evergreen Line.
Funding for the line has held up the project for months, delaying the start of construction and the opening date for the Burnaby-to-Coquitlam rapid transit route.
An announcement would mean a builder can be confirmed and construction can start as early as this year.
