Since numbers always seem to be the bottom line for school closures, I speak from my College Park elementary school experience, which goes beyond numbers.
My daughter has been lucky enough to experience the first six years of her learning at College Park elementary, which I consider to be an outstanding role model of a school that consistently demonstrates a professional teaching staff that cares about nurturing its students. My daughter has benefited both culturally and academically, and, best of all, she has made many good friends.
I wish to pay tribute to all the staff at College Park elementary school and say thank you for all their warmth, kindness and effort in helping to develop good kids. I hate to think of the consequences if this gem of a school is closed.
